Santiago Metropolitan Park (Parque Metropolitano de Santiago) + St. Christopher Hill

San Cristobal Hill

Santiago’s answer to Central Park.

At nearly 2,000 acres, Santiago Metropolitan Park is one of the largest urban parks in the world. Its centerpiece is the 1,000-foot-tall St. Christopher Hill (Cerro San Cristóbal), which can be reached by automobile, foot, funicular or cable car. At the summit of St. Christopher Hill you’ll find a beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary, not to mention sweeping views of the city. Afraid of heights? There are hiking trails and the Chilean National Zoo at the foot of the hill.
